Beautiful Holloways Beach is ten minutes from Cairns International Airport and 15 minutes from the centre of town.

Norfolk Close, pinpointed on the Google map, is just a short walk to the beachfront where Coconut Palms overhang the sandy beach overlooking the warm coral sea out to the great Barrier Reef. The beach also has a grassy foreshore back from the sandy beachfront, with several BBQ facilities located under the palm trees, as well as an amenities block with toilets and showers.

The area has the typical 'beach style', relaxed, tropical atmosphere and there are several dining facilities available, including a Cafe and also a Restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining, right on the beachfront.

There is a boat ramp into Thomatis Creek, at the Northern end of Holloways Beach. Thomatis Creek leads west to the Barron River and East out to the Coral Sea.

Close to the beach is a cluster of local shops including a newsagency, convenience store, take away, video hire store, and a bottle shop. A little further up the road is Holloways Pizza and Pasta.
